Process principle

The process principle of stainless steel bioreactor mainly includes equipment structure, process flow and process parameters. Its equipment structure usually includes stirring tank, automatic control system, reactor tank, feed inlet, reflux port, vent, observation hole and monitoring equipment such as temperature and pH value,etc.

The process flow includes preparation, microbial selection, single culture, multi-channel fermentation, data collection and product cleaning. Process parameters such as culture time, culture temperature, pH value and gas are key factors affecting the reaction effect.

Why are bioreactors made of stainless steel?

1. Corrosion resistance:

The culture medium, fermentation broth and chemical reagents in the bioreactor may be acidic or alkaline. Stainless steel (such as 316L stainless steel) has excellent corrosion resistance and can prevent the material from being corroded by chemicals.

2. Easy to clean and disinfect

·Stainless steel surface is smooth and not easy to adhere to impurities, which meets GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) requirements.

·Suitable for CIP (cleaning in place) and SIP (sterilization in place), it can be thoroughly disinfected with high temperature steam or chemical disinfectants to avoid contamination and cross infection.

3. High strength and high temperature resistance

Bioreactors need to withstand high pressure and high temperature sterilization (such as 121°C high temperature sterilization). Stainless steel has high mechanical strength and can ensure that the equipment will not deform or break during long-term use.

4. Non-toxic and harmless, in line with biosafety requirements

Stainless steel will not release harmful substances, will not affect the growth of microorganisms or cell cultures, and ensure the safety of the experiment or production process.

5. Wear-resistant and long service life.

Compared with glass or plastic materials, stainless steel is more wear-resistant, not easy to scratch or break, suitable for long-term use, and reduces maintenance and replacement costs.

6.Scalability:

The stainless steel bioreactor can be expanded as needed and is suitable for applications of different scales such as laboratories, pilot plants and industrial production, with production flexibility and adaptability.

7. Customizability and excellent processing performance

Stainless steel can be manufactured into bioreactors of different specifications and can be processed into complex structures ,such as agitators, cooling jackets, etc.
